Domestic Cooking

The Cooking Kitchen has trained many domestic workers to cook wonderfully wholesome family meals. The classes are informal and fun! No culinary trick questions and no exams. Designed to boost confidence and get comfy in the kitchen – good old fashioned, hands on learning!

Want to give something back to your domestic worker?

Send her on a cooking course that will boost her confidence in the kitchen, teach her new skills and make her part of our wonderful domestic cooking training community!

The classes are informal and fun!  No culinary trick questions and no exams.  Designed to boost confidence and get comfy in the kitchen – good old fashioned, hands on learning!

The group classes are run once a week for four weeks.  The groups are limited to only 12 learners per class – this way each learner gets the most out of the course and lots of opportunity to practice, make notes and ask questions.

 

We have a whatsapp group for each class in order to support one another and share our creations when the course is finished!

​

Our Domestic classes are every Friday morning 8:30 - 10:00am at our Parkwood  kitchen at a cost of R500 per class or R1800 for 4 sessions.

 Domestic Cooking is every Friday  8:30 - 10:00  and 
    COST:   R500 per class or R 1 800 for 4 sessions.

October 2024

11th October  -  Chicken Strogonoff with fried rice
18th October -  Sweet & Sticky Pork belly with Asian Sauce served on Egg Noodles
25th October  - Lemingtons 

NOVEMBER 2024 
1st November   - Beef Wellington 
8th November  
- Christmas biscuits with royal icing 
15th November 
- Chicken Roulard ( Stuffed chicken breast) with a mustard and garlic sauce
22nd November -Beef Burgers with shoe string fries
29th November - Christmas Cake muffins with Fondant frosting


FEBRUARY 2025
7th February  -  Chicken and Veg lasagne with a red cabbage salad
14th February -  Stuffed peppers with Savoury Rice topped with cheese and Bread Crumbs
21st February  -  Greek lamb Cutlets with hummus & Greek salad
28th February  - Baked Potato with 3 fillings ( Curry Mince, Ricotta & Spinnach, 3 Cheese sauce)


MARCH 2025
7th March    -  Carrot Cake with Cream cheese frosting
14th March   -  Friday night beef Burger with shoe string fries
28th March  -  Thai Fish Curry with Jasmin Rice and Poppadoms

APRIL 2025

4th April    -  Chicken Bake with Mushrooms, cream Potatoes and Butternut
11th April   -  Baked Fish with a Lemon Butter sauce, Cauliflower mash and lemon glased carrots 

25th April   - Seared Rump steak with roasted vegetables and a mushroom sauce
